The Akai MPC KEY 61 is no Joke
The Akai MPC KEY 61 is a an amazing workstation. It perfectly blends what Akai has done with their drum machines from the MPC XL series and Akai midi controllers. Now that they have a DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) You have everything you need to create your next banger. One of the most appealing aspects about this workstation is that it loaded with a collection of industry ready sounds. This means that you don’t have to be connected to your computer to use your keyboard. However by connecting your MPC Key 61 to your computer a whole new world of creative possibilities will open up to you. By using the included software you will be able to maximize your creativity. No to mention several workflow enhancements. As awesome as the software is, let’s talk about all of the features that you will get when you get this keyboard. The next feature that I’d like to highlight is the 7″ touchscreen display.
It is nice and bright. From the display you can navigate several menus that will give you all the control you need over the 20 plus included plugin banks containing 6000 plus customizable presets. The Akai MPC KEY 61 also features 16 MPC drum pads giving you that world renown MPC drum pad feel, ensuring that every nuance of your finger drumming performance is captured in the highest detail possible. Another feature of this workstation that could go understated but is very important is that it has 32GB of Internal Storage and 4GB of RAM on board and If you need additional storage the MPC Key 61 has got you covered with an internal bay for SSD expansion.
Incredible I/O connectivity!
In the above image you can see all of the connectivity that you get with the MPC Key 61 workstation. You’ll be able to slot this right into your studio or live set-up. This workstation has everything you need to be very productive and makes it easy to unlock your creative potential. The included touch strip allows you to transform and manipulate sound with the swipe of a finger. Control filters, add modulation, or enable note repeat. The Touch Strip adds immediate control to elevate all your sounds and performances. You also get four 360 Q-Link encoder knobs that allow you to edit, mix, and master your productions with tactile control. Switch modes and you can adjust EQ, dial in reverb, draw automation, control envelopes, and manipulate filters giving you the ability to shape and define your sound.
